Dr. Mitzi Bio
Dr. Mitzi’s mission is to serve the people of South Carolina by addressing minority health and social inequities in SC communities. She aims to make actionable program and systems alignment recommendations for change to government, health, community-based and not for profit organizations for intervention and prevention of minority health inequities.
Dr. Mitzi spent much of her career in nonprofits building equitable communities, government implementing racial equity programming, and higher education directing programs and changing college systems for underrepresented students on the pathway to obtaining a college degree. Dr. Mitzi utilizes community building, advocacy skills, racial equity program implementation, coalition building with community residents and systems change strategies to address minority health and social inequities in South Carolina communities.
